A summary that shows its sources
Ask for a summary only when you want one. It reads the top results, never your whole mailbox, and stays underneath the messages it came from.
- CitedEach sentence names the numbered message it came from. Sentences without a source are marked as unsupported.
- CheckedInvoice numbers, dates and amounts in a summary must appear in the cited message, or the sentence is flagged.
- LocalAn optional 2.7 GB model runs on your processor. Mailglade checks memory, cores and disk space first and tells you if this computer will be slow.
- OptionalNothing is summarized automatically. Free includes three summaries a day.
What stays on your computer, and what does not
“Private” should be specific. This is where each kind of data goes.
| Data | Where it goes | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Your mail and index | This computer | Read from the folders you choose, stored with restrictive file permissions, removable from settings at any time. |
| Searches and summaries | This computer | Queries, results and generated summaries are processed locally and never sent to Mailglade or an AI provider. |
| Model downloads | mailglade.app, Hugging Face | Only after you approve a download. The server sees your IP address and which model you asked for; no mail, searches or account. |
| External AI agents | Only if you connect one | Off by default. A paired agent can read results from the folders you allow, and may send them to its own provider. You can revoke it at any time. |
| Usage analytics | None collected | No telemetry, crash uploads or tracking in the app, and no cookies or analytics on this site. |
